Ebro Spin Fishing August 2017
My latest summer spin fishing tour in Spain started not as I hoped for. The weather was extremely hot and the fish activity was equal to none. I arrived to Spain at 19th of August and in the first ten days of my tour I was able to catch only a couple of smaller cats and a few perches. Luckily, by the end of August the temperatures dropped to acceptable 30 degrees and the fish started to feed more actively. At first, the big zanders were active followed by occasional attacks of large cats. I was able to catch around 20 zanders, a couple of extremely fat cats and a few mid-size cats. I used a Daiwa Saltiga spinning rod equipped with Daiwa Catalina 4500H reel. I was fishing with hand-made “panic” and “vida” lures weighting from 100 to 170 grams.
